Company

Here at Paris Brewing Company, we’re all about two things: delicious craft beer and creating a welcoming space for our amazing community.

Born From a Shared Passion

The story starts with two friends, Aaron Raper and Ben Wheeler, who bonded over their love of brewing. They knew they had something special, and with that, the dream of Paris Brewing Company was born. Joined by Ryan Matthews, they set out to build a brewpub that not only offered incredible beers but also became a central hub for our beloved Paris, Texas.

More Than Just a Brewery

We poured our hearts (and a lot of hard work!) into defining what Paris Brewing Company would be. Sure, we have top-notch beers and mouthwatering pizzas, but we want to be much more than that. We envision a place that fosters a sense of community, friendship, and togetherness.

Think of us as your extended family. We’re all sons of Paris, raised and shaped by this incredible town. Now, we want to create a space where everyone—locals and visitors alike—can gather, connect, and make lasting memories. Find us on Facebook.

Brewed for Y’all

That’s not just a catchy slogan; it’s our way of life. From the quality ingredients in our beers to the warm and inviting atmosphere, every detail reflects the love and respect we have for our community.

So, come on down, grab a cold one, and a slice (or two!), and let’s get together.

Founders

Aaron Raper

Director of Brewery Operations

Aaron Raper brings a wealth of experience to Paris Brewing Company. From managing large construction crews to overseeing complex projects, he’s adept at logistics, quality control, scheduling, and subcontractor coordination. This lifetime of hands-on work experience and managing workers is invaluable to the creation of Paris Brewing Company. His natural curiosity and desire to tinker have endowed him with an astute sense of how things work.

Ten years ago, this same curiosity sent Aaron on a of beer exploration at all levels and in all parts of the world. He found fascination in it all, from the small-scale brew systems used by the Vietnamese to make bia hơi, to the large-scale American commercial production facilities cranking out millions of gallons of beer annually in Colorado. He was intrigued from the beginning and knew he wanted brewing to be a part of his life. This fascination with brewing, coupled with his extensive skillset, makes him a valuable asset to the team.

Ben Wheeler

Director of Product Development

Ben Wheeler’s love affair with beer started during his US Army service in Germany, a country with a rich brewing history. Exposed to a vast array of unique beers, Ben developed a thirst for knowledge that led him to start homebrewing in 2009. His initial attempts weren’t perfect, but with each mistake came valuable lessons. He learned that almost anyone can make beer but far fewer can make good beer.

Ben’s dedication lies in understanding the intricate science behind brewing – how ingredients and processes interact at a molecular level to create delicious beers. He believes a great brewmaster needs to know not just what to do, but why and when, to achieve the desired outcome. Ben’s relentless pursuit of brewing knowledge is a crucial ingredient in Paris Brewing Company’s success.

Ryan Matthews

Director of Business Development

Ryan Matthews has a natural talent for leadership, honed through various roles since co-managing a fast-food restaurant at 19. Throughout his career, Ryan has gravitated towards creating things, breaking down complex processes, and strategizing to achieve goals. From establishing manufacturing facilities and design processes for some of the toughest tools on the planet to managing a historic property renovation, Ryan thrives on complex projects. His ability to coordinate and plan has proven invaluable in transforming the initial idea of Paris Brewing Company into a reality.

Ryan doesn’t know how to brew beer very well, but his keen business acumen and sharp wit are essential assets to the team.
